There are pros and cons on both sides in the freelancer vs agency debate. I’ve worked with many agencies in my time, and I like to think this experience helps me offer a better service to my clients. The main reasons I’d recommend using a freelancer like myself are:

• cost effectiveness – freelancers are invariably less expensive than agencies
• direct communication – there’s no middlemen, you can speak directly to your designer and developer (me)
• flexibility – agencies require stricter processes which leads to less flexibility, whereas I can make changes on the fly and be flexible to your requirements

I’ve built sites with a range of functionality – large ecommerce stores, complex booking systems, membership sites, as well as simple 5 pagers.

I mostly build with WordPress. It’s used by around 25% of all websites. I like it because it’s highly flexible and makes sites easy to maintain.

Sometimes I’ll also use Shopify for ecommerce projects. I’d more than happy to discuss the pros and cons as they relate to your specific project.

I can work with clients outside of the UK too, but bear in mind I am mostly available during UK working hours (8-5 GMT).

Outside of my freelance work, I run a couple of online businesses myself, so these take up a lot of my time.

But in my spare time, I like hanging out with my wife, family and friends, watching football, eating great food and travelling the world.
